In the summer of 1925, the MBL community gathered to dedicate a flagship laboratory for its Woods Hole campus: the “New Building,” later renamed the Lillie Building in honor of then-MBL Director Frank R. Lillie. One hundred years later, we celebrate the enduring legacy of this laboratory—and the generations of science it has inspired.
