Before You Apply

What To Know Before You Apply:

Our application process is straightforward and easy to navigate. Please only begin an application if you intend to submit one. To help you decide:

  • Each course page lists required information and dates.
  • Don’t let cost deter you—most courses provide significant financial aid (scholarship support based on need).
  • Be sure you can attend the full duration of the course if admitted.
  • Other things you will need on hand before you apply:
     
    • Demographic Information - name, institution, address
    • Biographical Information, citizenship
    • Academic History - institution(s)
    • Personal Statement of Goals
    • Supplemental Questions related to experience
    • Two letters of recommendation (upload of a letter or complete a form are both acceptable options)
    • Financial Support Request Form (for courses that offer aid)

Please note Advanced Research Training Courses are open to those who have already completed and obtained a US undergraduate degree (or foreign degree equivalent). The MBL is unable to sponsor visas for foreign nationals currently pursuing undergraduate degrees.
