The Marine Biological Laboratory's annual Fourth of July Parade once again filled the streets of Woods Hole with science, creativity, and community spirit. Students, scientists, course participants, and staff proudly marched with their classes, dressed as everything from marine organisms and chromosomes to other imaginative, science-inspired creations that reflected their research and MBL experience.

A longtime Woods Hole tradition organized by the MBL, the parade brought together students, scientists, local residents, and visitors to celebrate Independence Day with costumes, music, dancing, and plenty of scientific pride.

Participants marched from the entrance to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution parking lot on School Street, down Water Street, and ended at Waterfront Park, where the festivities concluded in another beloved tradition—a spirited water balloon and Super Soaker battle.
