Science and health journalists from five nations are plunging fearlessly into hands-on research this week at MBL through the Logan Science Journalism Program. (Bios of the 12 journalism fellows are here.) The Environmental fellows strapped on waders and collected coastal food-web samples at Waquoit Bay, Falmouth; their data analysis started last night. Meanwhile, the Biomedical fellows are becoming adept at microscopy and are deep into considerations of bioinformatics and data analysis in cell biology.

In their downtime, the fellows are taking in the beauty and intensity of MBL and Woods Hole. We look forward to hearing about their research projects next week!
