Exhibit: Plankton in Our Midst

Plankton in our midst artwork

The Unseen Citizens of the Sea and Our Breathing Planet

Plankton are essential to life and have an important story to tell. Discover the hidden world of plankton, the heartbeat of our breathing Earth. Explore the connections between these creatures, other ocean life, and the air we breathe. Plankton play a vital role in the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide, which impacts seasons, animal migrations, and keeps our planet livable. Through this assemblage of art, conservation writing, and science, you’ll learn how plankton’s story of connection and reciprocity can inspire us to be agents of change and support the regeneration of life.
